2020 Jeep Wrangler vs 2021 Ford Bronco

Serving New Bern, NC

The Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler are popular SUVs known for their rugged individuality and impressive capabilities. Now that the Bronco has returned after a long hiatus, you may feel torn about which model to commit to for your upcoming purchase. For 33 years running, the Wrangler has impressed its drivers while maintaining its iconic status. Should you pick out a 2020 Jeep Wrangler or a 2021 Ford Bronco as your next SUV?

While the Wrangler has evolved throughout its history with modern improvements across its interior and exterior, it retains its signature look that makes it stand out on the road. Whether you select the four-door or two-door version, your Wrangler will have flared fenders, a boxy shape, round headlights, and a vertical grille. The doors, windows, and roof are removable. In comparison, the 2021 Ford Bronco also has a boxy shape, but its fenders' flare is subtler. Its round headlights are broken up by a horizontal light bar. For 2021, the Bronco has a removable roof and is only offered with four doors.

Their differences are also on full display inside their cabins. The Wrangler has a long trim line for you to explore, and all trims have prominent personality and desired features. Some of its features are a navigation system, a subwoofer with the Alpine audio system, leather or cloth seats, smart device integration, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and more. On the other hand, the 2021 Bronco has a unique center console and stack. This is defined by a handgrip that separates the passenger’s area from the center console. This unique has a rotary gear selector, a sound system, manual controls for the cabin climate system, and other items.

While the 2020 Wrangler is available with five engine options, only two powertrains are available for the Ford Bronco. Some of the Wrangler’s engine possibilities are a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel and a Pentastar V6, 3.6-liter. All of the 2020 Wrangler trims are trail-rated in critical areas like articulation, water fording, maneuverability, and more. The Bronco’s two powertrains for 2021 are an EcoBoost 2.3-liter and an EcoBoost 2.7-liter.
