2020 Jeep Renegade vs 2020 Jeep Compass

Serving New Bern, NC

The Jeep name is synonymous with excellent performance, and all current models across the Jeep line are properly outfitted to impress drivers with their abilities. They are likewise filled with modern technologies that today's drivers demand. If you are in the market for a smaller crossover SUV, the Jeep Compass may grab your attention. The Compass has been available for 13 years, and it broke into its second generation a few years ago with a major overhaul. The Jeep Renegade is smaller than the Compass, and it has been available for approximately six years. Are you eager to see how these two popular Jeep models differ?

Performance

For 2020, the Jeep Compass and the Renegade are trail-rated, which means that they meet Jeep's high standards for water fording, articulation, maneuverability, ground clearance, and traction. The Compass receives 180 horsepower from its Tigershark 2.4-liter engine. This is combined with a Selec-Terrain management system, multiple driving modes, hill descent control, a drive low 4x4 system, and other exciting features. The Renegade is available with two possible powertrains. One of these is a 1.3-liter turbo engine that delivers 177 horsepower. The other powertrain is identical to the Compass's powertrain. The Renegade comes with the same available Selec-Terrain management system and 4x4 equipment.

Appearance

Visually, the Compass and the Renegade are impressively unique. The 2020 Compass has high ground clearance, a chunky and powerful profile that is accented by confident angles, up to 19-inch wheels, black lower-body cladding, high-intensity discharge headlights, a power moonroof, heated side mirrors, and other equipment. The 2020 Renegade, on the other hand, has a more cubical profile with almost-vertical windows at the front and rear. Its surfaces are smooth with gentle undulation. This model also comes with rounded headlights, squared-off taillights, black body molding, raised roof rails, and a few other exterior features.

Features

While the interior designs of the 2020 Renegade and the 2020 Compass stand on their own, these two popular models carry many of the same features. However, the availability of these features varies from trim to trim. Equipment that is found in both models includes Apple CarPlay, an auto climate control system, Android Auto, UConnect, SiriusXM tech, remote vehicle start, a wireless hotspot, a digital driver's instrumentation cluster, a navigation system, and other impressive features.
